The OnePlus 3 Smartphone has a Easter Egg Hidden Within its Calculator App

OnePlus is a company that has been known for making use of various (and novel) marketing campaigns to promote the brand and its devices and this seems to be the latest. Owners of the OnePlus 3 or the newer OnePlus 3T can check out a new Easter egg that seems to be included within the latest version of OxygenOS. OnePlus has taken to its social media channels today to make OnePlus 3 (and 3T) owners aware that the company-focused treat is included

To access the Easter egg, OnePlus 3 and 3T owners need to head to the stock calculator and simply type in “1” followed by “+” followed by “=”. At which point you will see a small animation take over the calculator’s window and displaying the company’s motto, “Never Settle”. If you have not picked up on it already, the sum of the Easter egg is that “OnePlus = Never Settle”.

Google generally introduces its new mobile operating systems to its own line of smartphones first, which was the case with Nougat when it arrived on the Nexus line of phones. And Google is no stranger to hiding Easter eggs in its software, either — with the launch of Nougat last year the internet giant concealed a mini cat-collecting game in one of the early builds of the software.

OnePlus’ effort packs a little less WOW, but it’s still a nice touch for nerds who like that kind of thing.
