Access Your Chrome Browser Remotely From Anywhere {Chrome}

Google chrome Web Store contains whole lots of apps that you can install. This can be games, social app or any other. It also has one app known as "Chrome Remote Desktop". Chrome Remote Desktop allows users to remotely access another computer through Chrome browser or a Chromebook.  Computers can be made available on an short-term basis for scenarios such as ad-hoc remote support, or on a more long-term basis for remote access to your applications and files.  All connections are fully secured.

Chrome Remote Desktop is fully cross-platform.  Provide remote assistance to Windows, Mac and Linux users, or access your Windows (XP and above) and Mac (OS X 10.6 and above) desktops at any time, all from the Chrome browser on virtually any device, including Chromebooks. This allows the users to control their entire computer, perform various tasks and access resources that are connected to their computer from anywhere using Chrome browser.

Lets see how this works:

1. Download and install the Chrome Remote Desktop extension on your Chrome browser.

2. Sign in with your Gmail account. and authorize the app. Also, if asked, accept the permission.
Note: Make sure the other computer also installs the extension.

Then accept any one from the following:

Remote Assistance & My Computers.

I. Remote Assistance: For user to user screen sharing.

Chrome Remote Desktop allows you to securely share your computer over the web. Both user must be running Chrome Remote Desktop app.

• You will see a "Share" & "Access" button. Click on "Share" button it to share your computer for another user.

• When you click on the Share button, you will be provided with a code that you need to give to other user with whom you will be sharing the chrome.

• And the other button "Access", to control a shared computer.
• Ask the other, whose computer you wish to access, to click 'Share Now' and provide you the access code. You have enter the code that you received from the other user in the displayed window.

II. My Computer: To access your computer from anywhere.

• On clicking on "Get Started" button you will a "Enable Remote Connections" button and a message saying "You must enable remote connections if you want to use Chrome remote Desktop to access this computer".

• When you click on "Enable Remote Connections" you will see a window which asks for a PIN. You have to enter the PIN to protect access to this computer. This PIN will also be required when connection from other location.

• After providing the PIN you will be displayed with a message saying "Thanks for installing Chromoting Host".
• Then a message showing that the Remote connection for this computer have been created.

As a remote user you can completely control the host computer from a remote computer. You can perform any other action on the remote computer, like, creating a file, deleting a file, installing application and many other.
