Access/Update Facebook Status & More from MS Outlook
After long time another Facebook post. But this time it is something very interesting. I didn't even thought of this, its some amazing. We have already seen some Facebook posts like; Facebook File Sharing Feature, Multiple Facebook Login, Access Facebook using mobile without internet and many more. But today, as i always say, this is another interesting and superb post.
Lets come to the point. How many of you are not allowed to use Facebook in your office? I know many of you, including me. There are many ways like using proxies or using some third party proxy servers to access. Yes, but you do it in very scaring way. You are scared of getting being caught. I had never being caught. But that's not the point. Today's post is something like using Facebook officially. Now, Outlook is something we use daily in our offices. Recently, we have seen a post on Repair broken .pst file, Setting up out of office message service in outlook and many more. Can you imagine using Facebook via Outlook? But yes, now we can.
FBlook (Facebook + Outlook = FBlook) is the application which helps us in doing it possible. If you are an Outlook user, you probably have it open all the time. Now you can update your Facebook status, see your friend statuses and see the number of new requests without having to open the browser or any other applications. FBLook seamlessly integrates Facebook into Outlook.

How to use it:
1. Download and install FBlook from here.
Make sure to close your Outlook before installing it.
2. When the setup is complete, launch your Outlook (Since m using Outlook10, the steps mentioned here are according to it).
3. Go to the Home screen, where the outlook interface is displayed alosng with all the Menu tabs.
4. Click on the Add-Ins tab present at the last of the Menu tab. There you will find the Login for Facebook.
5. Click on the "login to Facebook". You will be redirected to your default browser login.
6. As soon as you click on the Login To Facebook button, Outlook will as you for permission to access Facebook via Outlook. Click on OK and continue.
7. You will be redirected to Facebook login page. After the logging you will have to give the permission to the FBlook application to access your Facebook information.
Note: You need to set this only once.Now move back to your outlook and login to facebook again, if required.
8. Once you accept this permission, go back to Outlook and you will get the following message. Press OK.
9. Now you will be able to set your status message. To post any status, type your message on the box (as shown in the image below) and hit the enter key.The status update will become available on your timeline instantly.
10. When you do this for the first time, FBLook will ask your permission on Outlook as are defined for Facebook security policies.
11. Click Ok here and also click on Allow Status Updates for the permissions page that follows on the browser.
That's all, now you can enjoy posting your status directly from Outlook. Along with it, you will also be able to view updates on news feeds, messages, requests, status updates from friends and much more.
