Save Any Video File Played On Any Browser

Watching videos online is one of the most common things people do. There are so many sites available on the internet where we can watch videos online. There are some eye catching videos too in the sections like, Comedy or entertainment or gaming. And we always want to have one. There are many online tools available on the internet to download videos form YouTube, Metacafe, DailyMotion and many more. But believe they are always questionable. I have seen many times that when we paste the link to download, they either say that the link is not available or the link is incorrect. So my experience with such tools is very bad.

I have already written a post of downloading the videos from Youtube using Safari and downloading any videos using Mozilla. In fact there is one more tool available which is somewhat different from above tools. VideoCatcherView is the tool which allows you to view any video on the web and then save then save it on your computer. Actually it collects all the video files from the browser cache folder and then list them in the application window, using which you can directly run them without using the web.

Lets see how this works:

1. Go to VideoCacherView website. Download the zip file or the setup containing Install/Uninstall support.

2. I preferred using the setup file containing install & uninstall option.

3. Install the software in your pc. The shortcut will be available on the desktop (if you checked the "show shortcut on desktop" while installing)

4. As you run the software it will start taking files from your browser cache. This are the files that were played on your browser, say today.

5. If you have cleared your browser, then open any site, say YouTube and play any video. It will be displayed in the VideoCacherView window. It will also display the website name and the browser you are using along with many other details.

6. Now highlight the video of choice and click the "play" button to preview the video, and right-click on that video and select "Copy selected files to" to save the video file.

7. A pop up will be displayed. Select the path where you want to save the video. You can also check the other options available.

8. One more good feature that, when you click on the Option tab you will see some option like Show Video Files, Show Audio files, Show .SWF Files, Show Image Files. It means that this application also support to store audio, .swf, images files into cache for later, so that you can save them also in your PC.

That's it! It's so simple like, play and save. Isn't that great!! Unlike other browser extensions, it takes time to download the file but with VideoCacherView it save just in a click.

Download VideoCacherView here.

Cheers!!!
