Backup Emails On USB Drive
Has this ever happend to you? You need to check your important email but you are not able to connect to the internet. This must happened with every one and if not, you are next. Because i know it is obvious scenario. Emails are method of exchanging digital messages from an author to one or more recipients. Modern email operates across the Internet or other computer networks. This email can be used for office, education or for some personal use. Bus describe in the scenario above, if this happens then you definately wish to have some kind of source by which you can access without internet.
Microsoft Outlook is way much better option for this. Because you can download your outlook email into your computer, anytime you need. But what about Gmail, Yahoo and Hotmail which offers POP3access. In other way, you need to backup all your email from Gmail and Hotmail. What will you do, Let me think.. yes there is a way.
MailStore is a tool using which you can backup all your email in your PC and can carry it in USB anywhere you want. Its so easy to use that it can be started directly from the USB device without any previous installation and you have access to your mails wherever you carry your USB drive.
How to Backup your Emails:
1. Downlaod and install Mailstore and extract it in a folder in your USB stick.
2. Once extracted in your USB click on the .exe file at your USB stick and click on Archive E-mail.
3. Make sure that you have enabled IMAP or POP3 in your email account or any service that you use. Select the email service from the list.
4. Enter your email address and password. You can test the access of your account by clicking on the Test button.
5. Once all the connections are steup and tested, click on Next.
You can configure the backup options. If your email account has a large number of emails, you can choose to archive some selective folders/labels or skip the emails from a certain range of date.
6. Once done, click the Finish button. It will take some time to backup emails from your account depending on the size and volume.
That’s all. Now you can copy the folder in any USB stick you wish and access your email without having any problem. Other good things is that you can copy that folder into your Dropbox account to access it anywhere you want.
Note: Since this tool is not an email client, you cannot send or replay to any of the mail
