After Angry Birds, Its Time For Amazing Alex: Review

After a huge and a grand success of Angry Birds Space, Rovio has came up with new game which has no Angry Birds in it. Amazing Alex, is the newest physics puzzle game for people of all ages. But is it addictive like Angry Birds?

The game has been introduced to Apple App Store and Google Play on Thursday. Last year a game was released for ipad known as "Casey’s Contraptions". This is somewhat based on the same.

About the game :

The game is about a young boy and his messy house. From this you must have guessed what the game is about? Yes cleaning the house, but using different physics puzzles. You have to put balls in a bin, topple some books, or pop balloons. You have to use the different objects to clear up the house and solve the puzzle. And like Angry Birds you you have to earn bonus for each of the three stars you collect.

The game is somewhat different from usual or other physics puzzle game, since there is no one solution to solve the puzzle., Using the different objects you can try all your expertise ways to solve it. As the game provides several balloons, wooden boards and books, pieces of pipe then a blank canvas to experiment and many such objects which all re usable in their own way. In short the user can use 35 objects to complete or solve the puzzle. Will it be challenging anymore? Also it's not necessary to use all the pieces, try your luck by using some of them. But the good this is that all the levels are different from each other. Some are like to make the balloon reach the top of the screen without touching the scissors, or may have to ensure the ball zooms past the maze without hindrances or any other challenge. All this can be done by moving around the objects in any number of ways. They can place the interactive objects anywhere they want to make it work and then start the game to see did they solved the puzzle. Its basically a 'Hit' and 'Trail' method what the user has to try when the level gets more challenging.

There are a total of 100 levels in Amazing Alex provided by Rovio and each level can be cleared in more ways than one, which leaves ample room for imagination. Moreover, users who clear the Classroom Level by passing 16 challenges will unlock My Levels, where they can create challenges on their own, which can be shared with other users via a URL.

But one thing that makes me think that it does not provide any extra bonus or points, if you solve the puzzle in one go. Even if you don't use all of the pieces or all of the object and able to do it using some, nothing great is provided by the game. What you get is only the stars and nothing else. This is something which i think the team has to look and try to involve this bonus feature in some updates. And this what the Rovio said that they will offer a regular update like Angry Birds.

The game is very challenging. As all other games it provides a tutorial which makes you understand how to play the game and how the objects can be used. This makes some of the real gamer a bit boring. Because to reach the real challenging level you have to start off with some very easy level.

Here are some of the game’s top features:
  • 100 amazing levels to test your creativity
  • Regular free updates with new levels
  • Create your own levels and share them with friends or with the whole world
  • Amazingly social — share your levels and solutions with friends, or see theirs
  • 35 fully interactive objects and four fun locations
  • Download and play the best fan-created levels from around the world
  • Retina optimized for resolutionary experience
  • Players can publish and share their own levels with friends.
Price:

On both, Android and iOS, Rovio charges $1 for the regular smartphone version, and $3 for an HD version. The only difference between the two versions is scaled-up graphics.

Hope to see Amazing Alex fly in the space and use pigs to solve their puzzle in the near future. You never know whats next :). I hope you remember that Angry Birds Heikki is yet to release.

Download the game for iPhone and Android here.

The trail version is available for free. Unfortunately, for Android, only 16 levels are available in trail version.

Cheers!!!
