Get System Power Shortcuts In Windows 8

People are moving towards Windows 8 insteadd of Win XP and Win7. The main reason is the GUI is somewhat different from the recent OS and also the new Metro UI installed is another attractive feature. Although, i think every OS comes with some pros and cons. Like i found that, Win 8 does not contains Start Button. But thanks to some developers, who has made it possible. I have also wrote a post on it, on how to get the Start button on Win 8. But guys, do you know that Win 8 also does npt support the main options which were present in all the precious versions.

Windows 8 has a completely new start screen. Therefore the regular Start screen this time it has new Metro UI. So there are chances that people new to this Metro UI can take some time to get used to it. The main thing is that it does not contains the features like Shutdown, Restart, Log Off which were easily accesible in all previous versions.

To overcome this problem, System Power Tools is a freeware app for Windows 8 which adds tiles to Shutdown, Sign-off, or Restart your Windows 8 from the start screen.

On installing it, you will be able to see the tiles for the following options;

• Shutdown
• Sign-off
• Restart
• Hibernate
• Abort a scheduled shutdown
• Lock (new in 2.0)
• Sleep (new in 2.0)
• Quick access of Shutdown, Restart, and Lock button on the right hand side
• Adjust Shutdown interval by sliding the bar or time set
• Can press ESC key to close the windowRestart, Shutdown, Log off and other

So guys, this is a good feature and it can also be installed on Win 7. The only thing is that for this you will require .NET 4.0 to be installed first on your PC.
