The band itself tracks activity through oxygen kinetics, that helps it to determine whether the user is engaged in an intense sporting activity or sitting at a desk. Nike+ FuelBand tracks your activity through a sport-tested accelerometer. Then translates every move into NikeFuel. NikeFuel counts all the activities of your athletic life like running, walking, basketball. And since NikeFuel is calculated the same way for everyone, you can compare and compete with anyone.

In other simple words, NikeFuel is a calculation that allows everyone and anyone to compete regardless of their sex, age and any physical predispositions. All this data can be uploaded to Nike+ Connect or the accompanying smartphone app once you pair the Fuelband using the built-in Bluetooth.

Nike+ FuelBand measure your everyday activity and turns it into NikeFuel. It also tracks each steps and calories burned.

You can set a target for how active you want to be. It will start with day with red. Once you get to green, you have achieved you daily Nike Fuel goal.

Plug your Nike Fuel into your computer's USB or sync wirelessly thru bluetooth with your mobile app to access Nike+ where you can track your performance, see results.

Water Resistance:
The Nike+ FuelBand is water resistant. It is safe to wear in the shower or when dancing in the rain. Since it's not waterproof, it's not recommended for use while swimming.
