Simplest Steps To Create A Recovery / Repair Disc for Windows 7

We all like to backup all our personal and important data. We all do many things to backup our data, like uploading it on sites, taking backup in CD's or taking backup in personal hard disk. Same way we also take a recovery backup of or OS. I still remember, how tedious job it was to prepare a recovery or a repair disk. But this is not the case with Windows 7. It provides us a very quick way to do create a system recovery disc.

After all this disc will contain Windows system recovery tools and it can be used for multiple purposes. You can boot your computer using this disc and also restore your computer to a previous state when needed.

Follow the simple steps to create a recovery disc:

1. Click on windows "START" button and type (in the Run window) "Create a System Repair Disc" or just type "Repair" and press enter.

2. Select the drive from the drop down down menu and click on the "Create Disc" button.

3. Windows will start preparing files to create a disc.

4. After some time it will start creating the disc.

Once the disc is created remove it and keep it in a safe place. It can be needed anytime in future for recovery.

How to repair your computer using system recovery disc you created:

1. Go to BIOS settings.

2. Set CD/DVD as the first boot device.

3. Insert the system repair disc.

4. Boot your computer.

5. You’ll get system recovery options. These are the recovery tools:

• Startup Repair
• System Restore
• System Image Recovery
• Windows Memory Diagnostic
• Command Prompt

6. Select any one of the above given options and proceed with the further steps.
