Google Keep Now Officially Available for Android

Google has just released a note-taking app known as Google Keep. It has now been official available for Android. You can say that is more like a note-taking app Evernote. Google Keep is a very simple note taking app where you can add your notes, lists, photos and voice. The best thing is that it uses your Google account to keep track of all the notes and the created notes can be accessed online at http://drive.google.com/keep. As it is closely integrated with Google Drive, users can access their notes and data from any mobile device or computer.


The other best thing that the app gives is, that if you are tired of writing notes or typing notes, you can use your voice to control the app. In addition, the app is able to transcribe your voice notes automatically.

How it works:

1. Install the app form the google store by clicking here.

2. Once installed it will ask you to select the Gmail account which you want to use with the app. You can also use your default account that is available in the option.

3. The main screen gives you 4 option that you an work on;
  • Notes
  • Lists
  • Voice Dictation and
  • Adding a photo

4. You can also distinguish each note with a set of defined color.


Its all up to you, weather you want the notes in grid or as a list. The interface of the app is very simple and elegant to use. You can archive the notes as and when it is completed. The app also features a widget view where in you can view all your tasks without opening the app or even unlocking your phone.

It also lets you to add widget to the home screen of your phone. The notes created by you can also be accessed on the drive. Also you an edit, delete or archive them from the web app.
