Sync Windows Phone With Windows 8
Many people thinks that Windows 8 is a bit difficult to use. But for some its a piece of cake. Similarly, for user of Windows phone they might find it a bit difficult to connect it with Windows 8. The first and the most important use of connecting your phone to Windows is to take backup of it. One should regularly take backup of your phone at regular interval. I have never used Windows phone, but will to help you to let you know on how to take backup of your important data on Windows 8.
The Windows Phone app for desktop lets you sync your music, photos, podcasts and videos between your phone and your Windows 7 or Window 8 PC. You can choose to sync with your Windows Libraries or with iTunes. The app also makes it easy for you to find songs that you can use as ringtones on your phone.
Lets see how to take sync between Windows 8 and Windows phone;
1. Connect your phone to your computer using the USB cable that came with your phone.
2. Download Windows Phone app from here.
3. If you're in the Windows Phone app or Windows Phone app for desktop, do any of the following:
5. To move files between your phone and your PC, right-click the file you want to copy and click Copy.
Note: You can also use Windows Explorer or File Explorer on your PC to move content, including Office files, between your phone and your PC. You can find File Explorer on your Windows 8 PC in Desktop view.
6. Then right-click in the folder you want to move the file to and click Paste.
7. If you're moving content to your phone, just make sure to put it in the right folder so that you'll be able to find it on your phone.
That's it. This way you can transfer your data. Along with thsi the Windows phone app also supports syncing data like, music, photos, videos, podcast, adding ringtones, deleting something, etc.
I will try to list all the steps for syncing all the above;
To sync music:
1. In the Windows Phone app for desktop, click Music.
2. Make sure the Sync music checkbox is selected.
3. Do one of the following:
To sync photos and videos:
1. In the Windows Phone app for desktop, click Photos.
2. Make sure the Sync photos checkbox is selected.
3. If you also want to sync the videos you've taken, select Include your videos.
4. Do one of the following:
To sync videos:
1. In the Windows Phone app for desktop, click Videos.
2. Make sure the Sync videos checkbox is selected.
3. Do one of the following:
To sync podcasts:
1. In the Windows Phone app for desktop, click Podcasts.
2. Make sure the Sync podcasts checkbox is selected.
3. In the Sync list, choose how many episodes you want to sync, and whether you want to sync unplayed episodes only.
4. Do one of the following:

To sync videos:
1. In the Windows Phone app for desktop, click Videos.
2. Make sure the Sync videos checkbox is selected.
3. Do one of the following:
- To sync some of your videos, select the ones you want to sync.
- To sync all of your videos, select the Sync all videos checkbox.
To sync podcasts:
1. In the Windows Phone app for desktop, click Podcasts.
2. Make sure the Sync podcasts checkbox is selected.
